Craig T. Heussner

Craig T. Heussner 64 of Punta Gorda, Florida, left his family and friends to be with God on April 24, 2014 after fighting a courageous battle with cancer. Craig was born February 20, 1950 in Detroit, Michigan to Roy Heussner and Leona Gisch Heussner. He graduated

the class of 1968 from Fort Myers High. His family owned Dora-Lee Homes, Heussners

Mobile Homes where he worked while growing up. After Working with his family for many years, Craig decided to start his own business, Lee County Mobile Home Service, which he owned while building a home in North Carolina, he really enjoyed the North Carolina Mountains. Craig loved to operate heavy equipment, so he started an excavating business. He could do anything that he put his mind to. He had a pilots license, real estate license and CMA license. Craig worked for AMS Inc., rite up until he passed away. He moved back to Florida to take care of his mother and met his friend again of 36 years, Kim who became his loving wife of 12 years. Craig was always surrounded by beautiful women whom he loved dearly. He loved his mother Leona and always stopped to talk to her on his way home from work after his father Roy Heussner passed away, he also loved his wife Kim, who he said gave him the best years of his life. She was his best friend and golfing and fishing buddy. Although not trained , he could make a car look new with some junk yard parts and a can of spray paint and a random orbital sander. Craig could build anything from a wet bar by the pool to lemonade stand for the kids, his most recent building was a pre-fabricated building in the woods, that was his favorite place as long as Kim was with him. Craig loved his family and lived to make them happy and providing for them. Craig had a lot of friends who all considered him their best friend, if lifelong friends are a measure of a man, Craig was truly rich, because they could count on him no matter what time night or day he was always ready to help..

Craig leaves behind his loving wife, Kim Sheene Heussner, his mother, Leona Heussner; his son, Col. Todd Heussner and wife Linda., daughters, Tara Heussner Nelson and husband, David., Teressa, Tia and Tiffany Viola; grandchildren, Emma, Henderson, Jeb, DJ, Kyler; Sister, Cheryl Bailey and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews. Craig was preceded in death by his father, Roy and brother Jeff. Craig will be sorely missed by his family and friends A celebration of Craig's life will be held on Sunday, May 18, 2014 at 4:00 p.m. at 15175 Deer Pass Road, Punta Gorda, Florida. Donations in his memory may be made to his loving wife, Kimberlee Heussner.
