I had the priviledge of meeting Cindy one evening at Rich and Lynn Bokoski's home a few years ago.  There was a warmth about her that drew people and made them feel at ease. Denny, Nikkie, and family, I'll always remember Cindy and know how sad you must be, because she also meant so much to me.  We first met  when she came in to rent a booth at my shop.  In no time, she was my buddy.  I loved and treasured this upbeat, spunky, sweetheart, who brought sunshine to the salon every day.  Styling long hours, we had races to see who could work the hardest and do the most customers. Cindy always won, as she won the hearts of everyone in her chair.  She went on to open her own salon as I expected. We hugged and promised to see one another again down the line.  Before "Charley" I visited her at J. Andre where she helped me begin learning permanent cosmetics.  She was always there for me even up to her last weeks, offering advice and support as she had for so many years.  She gave us her  heart, and lived her faith, by being kind to others. Her brown eyes sparkled with warmth when she smiled.  All that loved her will look forward to seeing her smile again in Heaven.

I was sad to learn that Cindy has gone on to heaven.  We were best friends in the 8th grade and I have many happy memories of late night visits to Uncle Sam's hamburgers and the "shell" house with Cindy's very cool mom. To All of Cindy's family and friends- Cindy and I were friends in Junior High, but we lost our connection when we started going to Whitmer and took entirely different classes.  When I did see her, she always had a smile on her face and took time to say "Hi".  She was a wonderful person and I feel blessed to have been able to call her my friend. Cindy was so loving and giving.  Even during her pain and complications of the past few years, she always had a smile and said "How you doing sweetie?"  I'll miss her as my hairdresser and friend.
