

Dale A. McManus, 71, of Rotonda West, Fla., passed away Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2016 at her home with her loving family with her. She was born March 12, 1944 in Old Town, Maine to Patrick and Katherine Chabe. Dale was blessed to live in various places and moved to the Rotonda West area in 2003. Dale was a veteran of The United States Air Force and served during the Vietnam era. She was a installation coordinator for Aetna Insurance for 25 years and retired from there. Dale was an outstanding artist and specialized in stained glass. She enjoyed her family, friends, the beach, a good round of golf and truly lived life to the fullest.
Dale was preceded in Death by her loving husband of 20 years, John. She is survived by her two sons David Holmes ( Jennifer) of Port Charlotte, Fla. and Daniel Holmes of Rotonda West, Fla. Dale had also been blessed with her eight grandchildren, Daniel, Connor, Cadiana, Joshua, Elijah, Desira and Christopher. She is also survived by her sister Mona Chabe Barker from Maine and her very dear friend of many years and neighbor Kay Dasch.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, Feb. 4, 2016 from 10:00 a.m until 10:30a.m with service to follow, all at Lemon Bay Funeral Home in Englewood, Fla. Burial will follow immediately after at Gulf Pines Memorial in Englewood, Fla. Burial of cremains of John McManus will also take place with Dale at the same time.
