His long time Companion, Joyce Schlag, was by his bedside.
He was preceded in death by his Brother, Sergeant Charles J. Craft, his beloved Mother, Hazel Durbin Craft, and his Father, Percy Craft.
He was born in Princeton, Minnesota on November 20, 1928.
He is survived by his Daughter, Jean Craft Ameling, his Granddaughter,
Julia Ameling, and his Son-in-Law, Joseph H. Ameling.
Donald retired after 30 years with the Sarasota County Police Department
as a Lieutenant of Special Operations.
He was a lifetime member of the Fraternal Order of Police,
a member of the NRA and a skilled marksman.
He will be greatly missed by his Family and Friends.
