She was born May 29, 1947, in Chicago, Illinois, a beloved daughter of the late Stanley Robson and Beverly Bennett Robson.
Miss Scott was a bartender and waitress most of her life. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She was a doll collector and built mini doll houses in her spare time. Doris was an animal lover and always had many pets.
She was with her partner Robert E. Anderson for 29 years and they shared a home in Englewood.
She is survived by two children, James L. Laws of Englewood, and Brandy L. Monarch of Jacksonville, Florida.
Also surviving are three grandchildren, Jena Preston of Texas, Trevor Laws of Massachusetts, and William 'Boo' Preston III of Jacksonville, and one great grandchild, Adriana Kasinger.
There will be a celebration of her life at 1pm on Saturday, May 10 at Beaver's Sports Bar and Grill, 4299 South Access Road, Englewood.
