Dorothy L. Tyner, 69, of Punta Gorda, FL died January 19, 2008. She was born May 15, 1938 in Fountain Run, KY and moved to this area in 1960 from Phoenix, Arizona. Dorothy was a dedicated homemaker who loved caring for her children and family.
She is survived by her sons, Wayne Gina Berryhill and Kenny Carrie Tyner; daughters, Diane Gary Stevens and Sheila Jim Sella all of Punta Gorda, FL; 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; brothers, David Russell, Larry Russell, Paul Russell, Homer Russell, Johnny Russell and Robert Russell; sisters, Margaret Wheeler, Fletta Jackson and Martha Ewers. She was pre deceased by her husband, William Ben Tyner in 1997 and her son Randy Tyner in 1977.
The Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm till 7:00 pm, Tuesday January 22, 2008 at the Kays-Ponger Funeral Home, 635 E Marion Ave, Punta Gorda, FL. The Funeral Service will be at 10:00 am, Wednesday, January 23, 2008 at the funeral home with the Rev Frank Vargo officiating. Burial will follow at Indian Springs Cemetery. The family has requested memorial donations to Tidewell Hospice, 5955 Rand Blvd, Sarasota, FL 34238.
