Edward Hennigan of Englewood, Florida, formerly of Waldorf, Maryland and Leeds, England, died on July 16, 2010.
He moved to Englewood in 1980 where he and his wife have enjoyed their retirement. Edward has been a lifetime member of the Englewood Elks, Lodge #2378, where he has served for 30 years.
Edward has been a loving husband to his surviving, loving wife Margaret Hennigan. They have been married for 64 years. Edward has been the loving father of four children, one of whom passed away early in life, James Michael Hennigan. He is survived by three living children, Neil Hennigan, Ian Hennigan, and Melanie Hennigan; three grandchildren, Colin, Drew and Sarah and two great grandchildren, Jayden and Cameryn; his brother, Michael of England. Edward is also survived by his loving niece Ann Rose, to whom he was like a second father, and his loving daughter-in-law Zoanne Hennigan.
A memorial service will be held on July 22, 2010 at 3:00 pm at the Lemon Bay Funeral Home in Englewood followed by a gathering of family and friends.
