Elizabeth M. Walker

Elizabeth M. "Betty" Walker, 86, of Punta Gorda, FL passed away at home on August 21, 2008 after a short illness. She was born on October 17, 1921 in Binghamton, NY to Frank and Bessie M. Ryder Mulvaney. She married Kenneth Walker on February 28, 1950, with whom she shared the same birthday. Her hobbies included geneology, Bonsai and playing Mah Jongg.

She is survived by her children, Mary DuBois of Poughkeepsie, NY; Peter Walker of Fuqua Varina, NC; Timothy Walker of Port Charlotte, FL; Christopher Walker of Virginia Beach, VA; Carol Walker of Beacon, NY; Thomas Walker of Delia, KS; Barbara Curtis of Newburgh, NY;

Patricia Licari of Clinton Corners NY; James Walker of Glenham, NY;

and Jonathon Walker of Longwood, FL; as well as numerous grandchildren,

several nieces and nephews. She is pre-deceased by Ken, their son, Frank and her brothers Ryder and Francis Mulvaney.

A Gathering for friends and family will be from 1:00 pm till 3:00 pm, Saturday, August 30, 2008 at the Kays-Ponger & Uselton Funeral Home , 2405 Harbor Blvd., Port Charlotte, FL. A Memorial Service will follow at 3:00 pm at the funeral home. Inurnment will take place at the Fishkill Rural Cemetery, Fishkill, NY at the convenience of the family.
