
He was born on January 21, 1944 in Lewisville, Indiana and came to Punta Gorda, Florida from Bonita Springs, Florida in 1969. Elmer was an assistant superintendent at Florida Rock Industries, he was known as Al by his co-workers. Elmer served in the US Navy aboard the USS Yorktown Aircraft Carrier, for four years from 1964 until 1968.
Survivors include his wife, Geraldine of 43 years of Fort Myers, Florida; his 2 daughters, Judy Massey and Rachel Kilpatrick both of Fort Myers, Florida; one son, Tony Gilmore of Fort Myers, Florida; 6 grandchildren, Shannon (Nick) Munno of Fort Myers, Florida, Daniel Massey of Arcadia, Florida, Colleen Gilmore of North Fort Myers, Florida, Darin Massey of Fort Myers, Florida, Savannah Torres of North Fort Myers, FL and Shaylin Torres also of North Fort Myers, Florida.; 1 great grandson, Landon Munno of Fort Myers, Florida: his 2 brothers, Fred and Junior Warner and his sister, Cathy (Eddie) Churry also many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Cindy Warner, his parents, Albert and Laura Warner, his brothers, Jim, Don, and Charlie.
Visitation Wednesday, July 24, 2013 from 6-8 p.m. at Kays-Ponger & Uselton Funeral Home 635 E. Marion Avenue. Punta Gorda, Florida.
