Emily C. Capozzi

1927 - 2016

Emily C. Capozzi 88 passed away on February 26, 2016 at her residence in Punta Gorda, Florida. She was born on September 4, 1927 in Chelsea, Massachusetts to Joseph Ferringo and Mary Altavilla Ferringo. She came to this area in 1985 from Lynn, Massachusetts. She was an accountant for General Electric Corporation for 25 years before her retirement. She loved to golf, play Bocce and was a member o San Antonio Catholic Church.

Survivors include her children, Linda (Robert) Dotolo of Danvers, MA and Richard Capozzi (Stacey O’Brien) of Nahant, MA; 3 grandchildren, Lisa (David) O’Connor of Reading, MA, Emily Jean Dotolo of Danvers, MA, and Andrew Capozzi of Nahant, MA, also 2 great grandchildren, and her brother, Joseph (Patricia) Ferringo of Revere, MA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cosimo Capozzi who passed away in 1993 after 47 years of marriage.

Visitation Tuesday, March 1, 2015 from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Kays-Ponger & Uselton Funeral Home 2405 Harbor Blvd. Port Charlotte, Florida. Funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at San Antonio Catholic Church 24445 Rampart Blvd. Port Charlotte, Florida. Inurnment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery in Lynn, MA at a later date.
