He moved to Englewood in 1987 from Venice, Florida. He is the owner of Island Window Design in Englewood and the previous owner of Grande Designer Floor Coverings of Englewood. He was a graduate of Venice High School and a member of the Englewood Pool League on the Lost Boys Team. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving in Germany.
He is survived by his wife, Cynthia of Englewood; his daughters, Cynthia Maretti of North Port, Florida and Jennifer David of Englewood; his father, Dr. Gerald David of Sebring, Florida and his mother, Carolyn Katon of Chicago, Illinois; 2 sisters, Colette Deer of Cocoa Beach, Florida and Sharon David of St. Petersburg, Florida; his niece, Melissa Miller and his nephews, Donald Miller, Jeff Saulkner and Gabriel Warwick.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday, April 14 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. with a celebration of life to follow at Lemon Bay Funeral Home.
