

Ernest Edward Bisig, 83, of North Port, Florida, died on Friday, July 4, 2025.
He was born on June 13, 1942, in Fairport, New York and lived most of his life in Rochester, New York and then North Port, Florida.
Ernie worked tirelessly as a roofer/contractor/handyman for more than 50 years. He was known for his expertise and ability to finish each job with steadfast perfection.
He enjoyed cooking, reading, gardening, decorating for and celebrating the holidays, and traveling. Ernie loved dogs, especially his beloved Sammy. He loved the Lord and earned his nickname as the Prayer Warrior.
Ernie was a kind and generous soul who cared for all those around him. We are grateful and thankful to have walked with him in his grace for more than three decades.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters Clara, Dorothy, & Florence; and his daughter, Jennifer Bisig.
He is survived by his loving partner of 32 years, Jean Miller; brothers Bill, John & Albert and sister Marion; his children Michele Miller, Sheri & Ghassan Kiami, Renee & Jeremy Fant, and Michael Miller; and grandchildren Evan Thompson, Willow Rouse, Kevin & Luca Kiami, and Luke Fant.
A private funeral will be held in Florida for immediate family members. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Ernie’s honor to your local food bank or animal shelter.
