Ethlyn P. Morgan, 81, of Port Charlotte, FL passed away June 14, 2010. She was born Sept 9, 1928 in Jamaica. Ethlyn worked as a dress maker in Jamaica before moving to England. There, she was an Assembler for twenty years at a bottle cap factory. In 1982, she moved to Bronx, NY, where she worked as a Nurse's Aide for twelve years before moving to Port Charlotte in Feb of 1994. Ethlyn was a charter member of the Victory Baptist Church.
She is survived by her sister, Joyce Williams of Palm Bay, FL; sister-in-law, Nunes Morgan of Port Charlotte, FL; nephew, Desmond (Cheryl) Penndent of Brooklyn, NY; niece, Carmen Higgins of Port Charlotte, FL as well as other nieces and nephews. She was pre deceased by her husband of over forty years, Curney Morgan on May 27, 2008.
The Funeral Service will be at 10:00 am, Monday June 28, 2010 at the Victory Baptist Church, 1538 Nash Terrace, Port Charlotte, FL 33953. The family will receive friends from 9:00 am till 10:00 am, one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow at Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
