Eunice McAllister Patureau, 89, of Port Charlotte, was called home on January 7th, 2026. Eunice was born in Avon Park, Florida, the daughter of the late S. M. and Alene McAllister.
Eunice had been enjoying retirement for over two decades from the County of Charlotte County where she worked as a purchaser. Eunice was an active member of the Murdock Baptist Church. She loved her daily Bible readings and devotionals, working jigsaw and crossword puzzles, and watching football.
Eunice is survived by her children: Volney Cothern, Valerie Cothern, and Milton “Mac” (and Cathleen) Cumpton. Her grandchildren: Booker Cothern, Emily (and Brandt) Martin, and Darcy Cumpton. And great-grandchildren Hudson and Waylon Martin. She was preceded in passing by her sisters Ulva Taylor and Francis Nelms.
Eunice’s service will be held on Monday, January 19th 2026, at 10 am at the Murdock Baptist Church, 18375 Cochran Blvd, Port Charlotte, FL 33948. After the service, she will be laid to rest at Royal Palm Memorial Gardens, 27200 Jones Loop Rd, Punta Gorda, FL 33982.
