
Faye Perry Hull, of Punta Gorda, FL died on October 16, 2008 of pneumonia at the age of 83. She was born on March 25, 1925 in Fillmore, Missouri, the daughter of Samuel and Mabel Perry and the sister of Jessie Perry. She moved to Florida in the 1940's, and lived in Immokalee, LaBelle, Moore Haven, and Franklin, North Carolina, ultimately settling in Punta Gorda. She was a woman of profound talents, great intelligence, and strong faith. She earned her Master's Degree from the University of South Florida and worked for over 30 years as an elementary school teacher. A brilliant musician and artist, she played many instruments including the piano, organ, accordion, mandolin, and violin; she painted and square-danced. She raised beautiful gardens filled with flowers from all over the world. She traveled the country from Florida to Alaska, sharing her love of good books, good music, and her faith with everyone she met. We will truly miss her quick wit and sweet smile.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 40 years, William Thomas Hull III; her sons G. Allan Alderman and Kevin Alderman; her step-children Paula McQueen and James Hull; 12 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son John Mark and her step-sons, Hugh and Tommy Hull.
The Visitation will be held from 9:00 am till 10:00 am, Monday, Oct 20, 2008 at the Kays-Ponger & Uselton Funeral Home, 635 E Marion Ave, Punta Gorda, FL. The Funeral Service will follow at 10:00 am at the funeral home with Pastor Wesley Benton officiating. Burial will be at Indian Springs Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Tidewell Hospice, 5955 Rand Blvd, Sarasota, FL 34238.
