Florence M. MacDonald, 83, of Rotonda West, FL passed away peacefully on Easter Sunday. Flo was born in Bayonne, NJ, the daughter of Joseph and Leonarda Sidlowski. She and her husband Arthur were married for 66 years and raised four children. She retired from Bristol Myers just before moving to Florida.
Once settled in Rotonda, Flo and Art (Mac) became members of the St. Francis of Assisi Church in Grove City. Flo was active in the St. Francis of Assisi Women’s Guild, the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary and as a Eucharist Minister. She frequently attended the H2U group at Englewood Hospital. She enjoyed rides to the local parks and beaches with her husband, playing cards with her friends, tending her garden and decorating it with her gnomes. She also enjoyed walks around her neighborhood and being greeted by all the friendly dogs and the neighbors who walked them.
She will be greatly missed by her beloved husband; her daughter Kathy (Bill) Knee; her sons Jim (Linda) MacDonald and Michael (Nancy) MacDonald; her four grandchildren Dawn (Dave) Tomei, Andrew (Jen Lee) Sheridan, Amanda and Kadie MacDonald; and her two great-grandchildren Gianna and Anthony Tomei. She was preceded in death by her son Bob MacDonald.
