Frederick Cobb

Frederick "Fred" Cobb passed away April 5, 2009. He was the son of Charles & Kathryn Cobb both deceased born Feb. 29, 1936 in Martin's Ferry, Ohio. After serving in the US Army he graduated with a degree in Business from Mt. Union College, Alliance, OH He was affiliate member of Englewood United Methodist Church serving as Past President of the Men's Fellowship, member of the Finance and Audit Committees & enjoyed working with the Saturday Pancake Breakfast crew for nine years. He was also a 32nd Degree Mason. He was a board member of the Tangerine Woods Homeowners Association serving as a Treasurer, Vice President and President for 7 years.

Fred was a career Banker & served as President of three banks and ended his career taking over failed banks for the FDIC/RTC. He enjoyed travel and all sports and was an Avid Ohio State Buckeye and Mt. Union College Football fan. Fall Saturdays & Buckeye football were a ritual for him and son, Jeff.

Fred is survived by his wife Saundra "Sandy", Son, Jeff of Fairport Harbor, Ohio; Daughter Kristin Harvey Yager and granddaughter Olivia Yager of Painesville, Ohio; Sister Marilyn Cobb of Englewood.

He will be greatly missed by Family and Friends who loved him.

A memorial service will be held at the Englewood United Methodist Church on Thursday, April 9 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Englewood United Methodist Church Men's Fellowship or the Organ Fund or the American Cancer Society of Englewood.
