Gladys E. Utecht, 96 of Englewood, Florida died July 8, 2007. She was born November 5, 1910 in Alpena, Michigan to Michael and Mary Goodwin Beaufore.
She was a retired Nurse and moved to the Englewood area 39 years ago from Detroit, Michigan.
She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, the Altar Society and an usher; Lemon Bay Womens Club; Lions Club of Englewood and N.A.R.F.E. National Association of Retired Federal Employees.
She is survived by her son William M. Evelyn Goatley of Rochester, Michigan; her daughters Elaine C. Bozin of St. Clair Shores, Michigan and Linda L. Starr of Irving, Texas; 4 grandchildren, Michael L. Goatley, Jean L. Goatley, Talon Starr and Keith Bozin; she was predeceased by her husband Julius and her grandson Brandon Starr.
A visitation will be held on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home and a Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church with burial to follow at Gulf Pines Memorial Park in Englewood.
