GEORGE A. KARL, 90 of Port Charlotte, FL died October 8, 2009. He was born on January 6, 1919 in New Washington, Ohio and came to this area in 1982 from Edison, NJ. He was a Machinist. He was a past member of the Elks Lodge in Englewood and enjoyed making birdhouses and loved Baseball. He was a veteran of WWII, serving in the U.S. Army.
Mr. Karl is survived by his wife of 66 years, Ruth; two sons, Donald of Edison, NJ and Robert of Lexington, KY; sister, Janet Millenbaugh of Grove City, OH and six grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 13, 2009 from 9:30 am until funeral service starting at 11:00 am at the Englewood Chapel of Lemon Bay Funeral Homes.
