
G. Carole Christian, 70, of Punta Gorda, FL died December 17, 2006. She was born October 7, 1936 to Dallas and Alma Stimson in Gillette, Wyoming. She moved to Sarasota, FL in 2001 from Asheville, NC and came to Punta Gorda in June of 2004. Carole was an LPN before retiring in 1993 and had worked in various doctors offices and hospital emergency rooms in Casper, WY, Portland, OR and Abbington, PA. Locally, she was a member of the Burnt Store Presbyterian Church, the Isles Yacht Club and the Punta Gorda Civic Assoc. Carole had a passion for music and was an accomplished pianist. Her musical talent shined through early in her life and at the young age of 16, she was a church organist. She was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling with her husband.
Carole is survived by her husband of 40 years, Steve Christian of Punta Gorda, FL; sons, Dallas N. Bishoff of Leesburg, VA and Bret A. Bishoff of Cincinnati, OH; step-sons, Kenneth M. Christian of Casper, WY; James K. Christian of Phoenix, AZ and Scott K. Christian of Minneapolis, MN; sister, Geneal Anderson of Billings, MT and 10 grandchildren. She was pre deceased by her stepson, Patrick L. Christian in 2001.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, February 17, 2007 at the Burnt Store Presbyterian Church, 11330 Burnt Store Road, Punta Gorda, FL 33955 with the Rev Tim Stewart officiating.
