Hazel Lowe passed away on April 14 at the Charlestown Retirement center in Catonsville, Maryland. She was 99 years old. Born to Thomas and Maude Curry in Clay, Kentucky on May 23 1913, she was the eldest of seven children.
She retired from nursing in 1978 and resided in Venice, Florida from 1982 to 2000.
She was proud of her two sons, James and Robert, who both graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland.
Her two sons and her grand children Robert Lowe, Deborah Borches and Gregory Lowe survive her as well as four great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday April 24, 2013 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Kays-Ponger & Uselton Funeral Home and Cremation Services Venice Chapel. She will be entombed next to her husband.
