Henrietta "Hank" Bartley, 85, of El Jobean, FL passed away at her home on Sunday January 29, 2012. She was born February 1, 1926 in Mayville, NY. With her parents, John and Flossie Coates and her sister, Florice, she moved to Niagara Falls, NY. She attended Niagara Falls High School and learned to play both the violin and the upright bass in the school orchestra. She took great pride to visit her donated upright bass when she returned to her school for her 50 th class reunion. Hank and her husband Gorge Bartley visited El Jobean in 1948 with their son David who was three at the time and they stayed in the El Jobean Hotel. This visit resulted in a lifelong love for the community and in 1950 they became permanent residents. She was a member of the El Jobean Community League, the VFW Women's Auxiliary of Rotunda, the Woman's Moose Lodge Chapter 2252 of Gulf Cove and she attended Mass at St Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church. Hank was a loving mother, aunt, friend and will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her son David Bartley and daughter Claudia Bartley and numerous nieces, nephews and lifelong friends.
