Henry Eugene Cameron, 80, of Punta Gorda, Florida died Friday April 6, 2007 at his residence. Mr. Cameron was born on August 2, 1926 in New York City to Daniel and Agnes Cameron. He lived in Atlanta, Georgia and Orlando, Florida, before moving to Punta Gorda 4 years from Orlando.
Mr. Cameron retired from Verizon, he was a veteran of WWII serving with the U.S. Army and a member of the American Legion.
Survivors include his children, Bruce Cameron of Orlando, FL, Robin Cameron-Engel of Alpharetta, GA, and April Braziel of Punta Gorda; his stepchildren, Stephanie Comma of Punta Gorda, Clive Leslie, Michael Leslie and Paulene Bailey all of Long Island, New York; his 14 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Mr. Cameron was preceded in death by his stepchildren, Leonard Mewa and James Bailey.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday April 14, 2007 at 3:00 pm at Kays-Ponger Funeral Home Port Charlotte Chapel, 2405 Harbor Blvd.,
