

She grew up and was raised in Dearborn, Mich., going to Dearborn High School where she met her husband, Ellis Schellenberg. They were married, Jan. 8, 1954 and have remained so for 57 years. They got through thick and thin supported by each other's love. Irma was a woman of many talents including teaching music lessons, real estate agent and tax consultant. But her strong suit, was being the glue that held together her large family of three llIrma Grace Schellenberg, 73, of Port Charlotte, Fla., passed away Monday, Dec. 13, 2010 at Peace River Regional Center.

They got through thick and thin supported by each other's love. Irma was a woman of many talents including teaching music lessons, real estate agent and tax consultant. But her strong suit, was being the glue that held together her large family of three daughters, Mary Jo Sennett, Roberta Helen Berg, and Laurie Osborn, who all now live in Florida, and her son, Thomas Schellenberg who lives in California.
She is survived by her loving husband, Ellis Richard Schellenberg, who will remember her with love and affection; children; loving grandchildren, Kimberly Mary Perpich, Mary Grace Ferguson, Jamee Fike, Jena Sennett, Candice Schellenberg, Eric Osborn, William Schellenberg; and her great-grand children, Justin Farley, Nathan Farley, Ashlyn Ferguson, Addison Fike, and Mason Perpich; and many extended family and friends that will fondly remember her as she was friend and "mom" to everyone.
Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2010 at Kays Ponger & Uselton Funeral Home, 2405 Harbor Blvd., Port Charlotte, FL 33952, with a memorial service at 7 p.m. All friends and family are welcome to celebrate Irma's life.
