

James Edward Casey, 88 of Punta Gorda, FL formally from Ashland and Falmouth Massachusetts entered into rest on February 24th 2017 at his residence with his loving family by his side. James was born on December 12, 1928 in Southborough Massachusetts to William F. Casey and Ada Kenney. James moved to Florida in 1986 after retiring as a floor contractor. He was an avid golfer, furniture maker, member of the Knights of Columbus as a fourth degree Knight, and a former charter member of Burnt Store Country Club now known as Twin Isles. The most important relationship in James's life was with his beautiful and devoted wife Elizabeth; they were married for 63 wonderful years. He is survived by his 2 loving daughters Dorothy Nardini and Maureen Casey, 2 loving sons William and Michael Casey, a son James Casey who preceded him in death in 2012. James had 7 grandchildren and 7 great- grandchildren. He is survived by 2 sisters Mary Clark, Peggy Cox and a brother William who preceded him in death and his beloved dog Casey. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Tidewell Hospice House at 1144 Veronica St. Port Charlotte, FL 33952. A Memorial Mass will be held at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Punta Gorda, FL on Monday March 6th at 11 am. Arrangements are being handled by Kays-Ponger & Uselton Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Punta Gorda, FL.
