James Wyatt Grimes

2011 in North Port, FL. He was born September 16, 1998 in Port Charlotte, FL. Wyatt was a football player for the Charlotte Warriors for 7 years and a little brother watching for another 4 years waiting to be old enough to play. He loved every minute of being out there whether he was playing or just hanging out. The older players were like his big brothers and sisters and the younger ones he watched out for as little brothers and sisters. Wyatt was a diehard Florida Gator and Miami Dolphin fan. He loved playing football, riding 4-wheelers, going to the races and spending time with his family. He thought of others always. He was the first to help those who where in need. His love, joy and happiness lit up a room.. Wyatt will be greatly missed but never forgotten. We love you Bubba!!!

Wyatt is survived by his mother, Stacey DeWeaver of Punta Gorda, his father Ronnie Grimes Jr. of Louisville, KY; brothers, Ronnie (Jenna)Grimes III, Shane(Brooke)Dionne and sisters, Nicole(Alberto) Feliciano and Jessica Grimes,, maternal grandmother, Carol (Al) Hausman, maternal grandfather, Ed DeWeaver, paternal grandmother, Christine Starkey, paternal grandfather Ronnie Grimes Sr.; great-grandmother Gladys Donk; uncles, Scott (Christy)Grimes and David (Donna) Grimes,; aunt, Kris (Matt) DeWeaver; cousins, Brooke(Kevin) Parasiliti and David Grimes, niece Mackenzie Grimes, nephews, Edwin Feliciano and Jayden Grimes.

A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 pm, Saturday, January 22, 2011 at the First Baptist Church of Punta Gorda, 459 Gill Street, Punta Gorda, FL with the Rev Frank Vargo officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you could make donations in memory of Wyatt in care of Stacey DeWeaver at any Wachovia Bank.
