JAMES E. MILLER, 87 of Englewood, Florida died September 19, 2011. He was born on March 5, 1924 in Dorchester, MA and came to this area in 1986 from Milton, MA. He was retired as a Construction Photographer for 44 years with the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority in Boston. He was a member of the Elks Lodge #2378, Life member of the VFW Post #10178 both in Englewood, Life member of the Florida-D.A.V. #97, Past Commander of the VFW Boston Carmens Post #3403, Life member of the Dorchester Yacht Club and was a past commander of the American Legion Post of Jamaica Plain, MA. He was a Veteran of both WWII the Korean Conflict, serving in the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy; brother, Joseph of Pembroke, MA and his sister, Pauline Pheeney of Maryland and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 21, 2011 from 3-5 pm with the Elks Lodge of Sorrow service at the Lemon Bay Funeral Home in Englewood.
