James R. Najdl,

Jim "Smiley" retired from Ford Motor Company in Lorain, Ohio. Formerly residing in Avon Lake, Ohio, upon retirement, Jim and his wife Laurene moved to Florida, where they enjoyed boating, fishing and motorcycling. Jim played college football for Ohio State University in 1957. He was also an avid Cleveland Browns Fan and loved life.

Jim is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years, Laurene Loeser Najdl; his cherished daughters Renee Najdl, Suzie Lapos, Laurie Baksa, Sandra Kess, Gina Langer and Lisa Adams; sisters Sandra Ridson of Lorain, Ohio, and Carol Merkle and brother John Najdl, both of Dillonvale, Ohio; as well as 9 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Najdl Sr., mother Anna Marie Michalo Najdl and brother Donovan Najdl.

A memorial service and celebration of his life, will be held at 12 pm on Friday, September 25th at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Avon Lake, Ohio. He will be sadly missed by all those who loved him.
