James C. Stewart, 90, of Punta Gorda, FL died June 9, 2007. He was born June 9, 1917 in Gallipolis, Ohio to Claude and Roma Stewart. For over 30 years he worked at the American Cyanamid Chemical Company before retiring in 1982. Upon his retirement, he and his wife moved to Brandon, FL. Locally, Mr. Stewart was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing at the Burnt Store Country Club.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Loraine Stewart, 4 children and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was pre deceased by two sisters and a brother.
The Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am, Wednesday June 13, 2007 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Punta Gorda. Burial will follow at Royal Palm Memorial Gardens. The family has requested memorial contributions to the St Vincent DePaul Society.
