

Jane Ellen Raybuck Parkyn, 89, passed away Tuesday, July 30, 2024 with family by her side. She was born Jan. 3, 1935, to Glenn and Anna Raybuck in Beaver Falls, Pa, and spent her formative years there.
Jane graduated from Philadelphia General Hospital and earned her degree in nursing. She was a Registered Nurse and retired from the Florida State Hospital system. She was married to Charles R. Cerny for 27 years and had four children; Kimberly A. Cerny, Bobbi J. Cerny, Charles G. Cerny and Matthew R. Cerny. Charles Cerny went to be with the Lord in 1983, and she married William T. Parkyn, Jr. in 1994 and moved to Franklin, NC.
Jane loved Jesus and singing in the choir. She also loved reading, quilting, bowling and gardening. She was a lifetime member of the Florida Federation of Garden Clubs and previously served in the Punta Gorda, FL Garden Club and as past President of the Franklin, NC Garden Club.
She was very accomplished in flower arranging and won many blue ribbons over the years. She enjoyed writing Christian inspirational poetry and published two poetry books, Joy Books and Joy Books II.
She is survived by her 3 children Bobbi Jane Huerta, Charles G. Cerny (Renee) and Matthew R. Cerny (Beth); nine grandchildren, Christy (Michael) Krett, Joshua Farabee, Julia (Eric) Huerta Whitehead, John L. Huerta Ill, Jason Cerny, Casey (John) Schorling, Emily (Ben) Schroeder, Sara (Steven) Iden, Will (Sarah) Cerny; seventeen great-grandchildren, Charlotte Schorling, Theodore Schroeder, Madelyn Schroeder, James Iden, George Iden, Graham Iden, Oliver Cerny, Michael S. Krett, Jr., Holly A. Krett, Sterling P. Farabee, Lacy Belt, Sierra Belt, Bobby Belt, Charles Krett, Phoebe Smith, Eli Krett, and Jack Dean; nine great-great grandchildren, Kingsley Gibson, Khorlyn Gibson, Cash Petersen, Faith Belt, Hope Belt, Troy Belt, Timothy Brown, Ellah Brown and Stevie L. Powell. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles R. Cerny; husband, William T. Parkyn, Jr.; parents, Glenn and Anna Raybuck; sister, Beatrice A. Raybuck Carter; brothers, Eugene Raybuck, James Raybuck; daughter, Kimberly Neely Cerny and granddaughter, Janie L. Krett.
A memorial service will take place at Family Church PC, 20035 Quesada Ave, Port Charlotte, FL 33952 on Saturday, August 24 at 10:30 am with Pastor Jim McCarty officiating.
