Janet Lynn Carpenter

Janet was born February 18, 1947, in Pontiac, Michigan to Leo and Mildred Snover. She graduated from Rochester High School and soon after met her husband, Gary. They were married August 6, 1966, and together had two children, Jennifer and James.

Janet and Gary lived happily for 24 years in Michigan, then 10 years in Las Vegas, returned to Charlotte, Michigan for another 16 years and then settled the last 8 years in Port Charlotte, Florida. They made a great many friends in Port Charlotte and truly loved meeting many of them at McDonalds for coffee every other day. Mom really enjoyed these days and when at home, she loved playing card games on her iPad.

Janet was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Mildred Snover and her siblings, Marilyn (Robert) Flanigan, Jerry (Patty) Snover, Bobby (Thelma) Snover and Gloria (Curt) Lord.

She is survived by her loving husband of 57 ½ years, Gary as well as her children Jennifer (Darin) Place Darling and James (Jennifer) Carpenter; and grandchildren Megan (Zach Swist) Carpenter, Kelsey (Yesi) Darling, Mac (Taylor) Place, Haley Carpenter and Clare Carpenter; and great grandson Jace Darling.

The family will hold a private family memorial but please remember Janet with happiness and love.
