

Joseph was born and raised in Hungary. He left the city of Miskolc during the Hungarian Revolution in 1957 and moved to America with dreams to make a good life. He moved in with his uncle who lived in Cleveland, Ohio and started to build his life. He went back to Hungary where he married his wife Marika in 1970. They both came back together to America and moved to Chagrin Falls, Ohio. Here they built a home and raised two children Betty and Zoltan. Sixteen years ago, they were ready to retire and moved to Venice, Florida. Both their children followed and the very close Kovacs family continued to grow. Betty, married to Brad, have two children, Arianna Anasztaiza and Alexander Joseph. Zoltan, married to Sherry, have one child, Cody Joseph.
Joseph was devoted family man and Roman Catholic. He was a member of the Hungarian Christian Society where he and his wife enjoyed volunteering their time to the organization. He was also a member of St. Joan of Arc in Chagrin Falls, Ohio and Our Lady of Lourdes in Venice Florida, Catholic churches. Joseph was a man who lived his life to the fullest. He loved to sing, work in his garden and spend time with his family. He was a wonderful man and he will be truly missed.
