John H. Williams Jr, 76, of Port Charlotte passed away on Monday September 17, 2012. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Kays-Ponger Uselton Funeral Home and Cremation Services Port Charlotte Chapel. John H. Williams was born on October,2nd,1935 in Hartwell georgia to the late Homer Williams Sr.and Vennie Scott Williams Teasely and stepson of the late Aquilla teasely. He was employed at General Motors Fisher Body Division for 30 years retiring in 1993.My dad had a thirst for knowledge and reading the bible where he was well versed in the scripture . John had a love of black history and would readily talk about it. He also enjoyed volunteering feeding the homeless until his health failed . My loving dad was the director of the cathedral choir in Trenton new jersey for over thirty years. He was a lover of music and would share his marvelous God given base voice in song to the glory of God. In his lifetime he has owned over 70 antique cars . He leaves to cherish his memory , former wife and good friend , Margaret E.Williams of Trenton ,New Jersey, one son,Carlton Williams of Bristol Pennsylvania,daughters Kim R.Williams of Bensalem Pennsylvania,Norma J.Hughes West Orange New Jersey,son in law Kermit Hughes West Orange New Jersey,one sister Dorothy Blakely of Knoxville Tennessee , granddaughters Jessica L.Williams Trenton New Jersey,Lauren T.P.Patterson of Maryland ,grandsons Christopher Horton Bensalem Pennsylvania,William Bridgette the third Trenton new jersey great grandson chase worthy Trenton new jersey several nieces nephews and friends.Dad loved this song I shall see the king where the angels sing I shall see the king some day in a better land on the golden strand and with him forever stay . In his glory I shall see the king and forever endless praises sing twas on Calvary Jesus died for me I shall see the king someday
