Jose Luis Saldana

Jose Luis Saldana, 48, of Punta Gorda, Florida, passed away peacefully on July 3, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Jose was known for his infectious smile, quick wit, and his ability to make everyone around him laugh. A skilled tile setter by trade, Jose took great pride in his craftsmanship and the quality of his work. He was always willing to lend a helping hand.

Jose loved riding his motorcycle. It was one of his greatest passions and a place where he found peace. He was also a proud and lifelong Tampa Bay Buccaneers fan.

Jose is survived by his loving mother, Sylvia Kennedy; his sons, Matthew Kreft and Izah Saldana; his daughter, Monet Saldana; his sister, Heidi Johnson, and her daughter, Riley; his brother, Carlos Saldana, and Carlos’s children, Jada, Cainan, and Kodah. His sister Veronica Santiago and her daughter Viviana. He also leaves behind many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever cherish the memories they shared with him.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jose and Gloria Santiago; uncles, Jose and Johnny; aunt, Emi; and cousins, Michael, Armando and Tina.

Though our hearts are heavy with his passing, we find comfort in the love, laughter, and memories we shared. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
