Kathleen F. Steele

She was born on October 27, 1942 in Wadsworth, Ohio to Lester Steele and Elsie Gareis Steele. Kathleen was a school teacher and taught Home Economics and Science at Rittman Middle School in Rittman, Ohio. She was also a track coach for the girls track team. She retired in 1997.

She is survived by her 7 brothers and sisters, Linda Steele of Port Charlotte, Florida, Emily (David) Ihle of Marco Island, Florida, Alan (Kim) Steele of Sterling, Virginia, Phillip Steele of Naples, Florida, Virginia (Jay) Word of Rome, Georgia, Christine Veitengruber of Port Charlotte, Florida and Karl (Bonita) Steele of Port Charlotte, Florida. Also surviving are 9 nephews and nieces, Sarah Hockensmith, Chad Steele, Cory Steele, Karen Roth, Alan Veitengruber, Adam Steele, Janna Edwards, Jessica Loerop and Brian Hughey.

Funeral services Thursday, April 6, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Kays-Ponger & Uselton Funeral Home 2405 Harbor Blvd. Port Charlotte, Florida. Burial will follow at Rest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
