Kevin Matthew Cocco, 22 of Port Charlotte, Florida died Sunday March 25, 2007. Kevin was born on November 21, 1984 in Melrose Park, Illinois and had been a resident of Port Charlotte for 17 years coming from Naperville, Illinois.
Kevin participated in Pop Warner football with his brother Tommy and sister Stephanie. Kevin graduated from Port Charlotte High School class of 2002, and was captain of the football team; he made the all area football team. Kevin lived life free spirited. He was of the Catholic faith.
He is survived by his son, Collin Cocco 3 years old, his parents, Thomas C. and Sherrie Cocco of Port Charlotte; his brother, Thomas M. Christina Cocco with the U.S. Navy; his sister, Stephanie M. Cocco of Port Charlotte; his maternal grandmother, Josephine Margis of Venice, FL; his paternal grandparents, Augustino and Eileen Cocco of Worth, Illinois; his nephews, Thomas and Tyler Cocco.
A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday March 31, 2007 from 3:00pm until 6:00pm with a service to follow at Kays-Ponger Funeral Home Port Charlotte Chapel, 2405 Harbor Blvd.
