Latney "Jr" Lindsey

Latney "JR" Lindsey, 76, of Punta Gorda, FL passed away September 13, 2011. He was born June 8, 1935 in Love, KY and moved to this area in 1956. He was a local businessman from 1964 till his retirement in 2000. From '64 till '85 he was the owner of L&L Roofing and from '85 till 2000 was the owner of Lindsey's Trucks in Port Charlotte.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Patricia Ann Lindsey; two sons, Mike (Terri) Sims and Jeff (Kim) Lindsey; grandsons, Justin (Heather) Lindsey and Joshua (Michelle) Lindsey; granddaughter, Samantha Taylor; great grandson, Jason Lindsey as well as extended family and friends.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 am till 11:00 am, Monday, September 19, 2011 at the Kays-Ponger & Uselton Funeral Home, 635 E Marion Avenue, Punta Gorda, FL 33950. The Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 am at the funeral home with the Rev Duane Waters officiating. Burial will be at Royal Palm Memorial Gardens in Punta Gorda. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Christ Community United Methodist Church, 27000 Sunnybrook Road, Punta Gorda, FL 33983.
