LAWRENCE M. GRIFFIN, 74 of Englewood, Fl died March 3, 2010. He was born on February 23, 1936 in Westfield, PA and came to this area in 1992 from Jamestown, NY. He was a School administrator with the Cassadaga Valley Central School District in Sinclairville, NY. He was a member of the F&AM Masonic Lodge #120 in Hamilton, NY, Order of the Eastern Star in Horsehead, NY, the Englewood Elks Lodge #2378, Myakka Pines Golf & Country Club, Boca Royale Golf & Country Club both in Englewood, a graduate of both, Colgate University in Hamilton, NY and Cortland State College in Cortland, NY and was a member of the Phi Delta Kappa and Phi Kappa Tau Fraternity. He was a member and Choir member of the Englewood United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Joan; daughter, Deborah Scot Swan of Tipp City, OH; two sons, Steven Keli of Moorpark, CA and Brian of Cincinnati, OH; his siblings, Wilfred Griffin, Cheryl Schmid, Lorriane Griffin and Paul Griffin; his four grandchildren, Nichole, Megan, Chase and Paige. He was predeceased by his brother, L.E. Griffin. Memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 7, 2010 at 3:00 P.M. at the Englewood United Methodist Church.
