Leona M. Smith, 92, of Milwaukee, WI died December 9, 2006 at her sons residence in Punta Gorda, FL. She was born May 29, 1914 in Milwaukee to Joseph E. and Mary Tennison Manning. She was a graduate of Marquette University. Mrs. Smith was the owner of Lee Smith Advertising Company and had also worked in the Advertising Dept of Gimbels Department Store both in Milwaukee before retiring in the early 80s. She was a member of the Better Film Club and had been active with the Young at Heart group of Christ King Church. She was pre deceased by her husband Joseph Smith Sr in 1985.
She is survived by her son, Joseph Judy Smith of Punta Gorda, FL; grandsons, Travis Smith of Milwaukee, WI and Ryan Smith of Punta Gorda, FL; granddaughter, Kymberly Smith of Milwaukee, WI and many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Mass will be held 10:00 AM, Monday, December 18, 2006 at the Christ King Catholic Church. A Visitation will begin at 9:30 am Monday till the service time. Inurnment will follow at the Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations to Christ King Church, 2604 N Swan Blvd, Milwaukee, WI 53226.
