Lorenzo Damato, 72, of Punta Gorda, FL passed away May 2, 2010. He was born January 16, 1938 in Italy. Mr. Damato was the owner of the restaurant, Pizza & Pasta in Lake Hiawatha, NJ and after retiring in 2005, he sold his business and moved to this area from Wanaque, NJ.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Dolores Damato of Punta Gorda, FL; his children, Maria Donald Fredericks of Punta Gorda, FL and Anthony Terri Damato of Vernon, NJ; grandchildren, Anthony, Nicolette, Gianna, Emily, Jason, Dominick, Luciano and Lorenzo; and his siblings, Carmella Trovato, Anna Locantore, Nicoletta Volpintesta, Silvana Damato and Luciano Damato. He was pre deceased by his grandson, Nikolas Fredericks in 2001.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 6:00pm to 8:00 pm, Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at the Kays-Ponger & Uselton Funeral Home, 635 E Marion Ave, Punta Gorda, FL 33950. A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 am, Thursday, May 6, 2010 at Gulf Pines Memorial Park, 2401 Englewood Road, Englewood, FL.
