Louis was born Feb. 17, 1930 in Pylos, Greece to the late Apostolos and Eleni Diakoumis. Louis is also predeceased in death by his loving wife of 51 years Phyllis Diakoumis and his daughter Ellen Diakoumis.
Louis is survived by his children; Nick Diakoumis of Port Charlotte, FL and Paul (Christina) Diakoumis of Groveland, FL. Louis also leaves behind grandchildren; Angela Dawn, Christopher, Dawn Marie, Evy Anne and Louis; and great grandchild Gabriel.
Visitation will be held on Monday, Jan. 9 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Kay- Ponger and Uselton Funeral Home, 2405 Harbor Blvd, Port Charlotte, FL 33952. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 10 at 11am at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox, 2441 Rampart Blvd, Port Charlotte, FL 33980; Louis will be laid to rest following the service at Restlawn Memorial Gardens, 1380 Forrest Nelson Blvd, Port Charlotte, FL 33952.
