Luis M. Ortega Cruz, age 73 of Summerfield, FL passed away February 10, 2020. He was born September 12, 1946 in Puerto Rico to Luis Ortega and Monserrate del Carmen Cruz. Luis loved to sing and play guitar. He also enjoyed fishing and mechanics. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his sister, Nilda E. Feliciano. Luis is survived by his loving wife, Gloria Ortega; his children, Luis Enrique Ortega, Angelica Ramos, Anthony Ramos, and Nilsa Ramos; his siblings, Maria M. Ortega, Betzaida M. Gomez, Carmen E. Frometa, Luisa Ortega, OFS, and Carlos A. Ortega; and many grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Visitation will take place on Friday, February 14, 2020 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Kays-Ponger & Uselton Funeral Home; 2405 Harbor Blvd., Port Charlotte, FL 33952. A Funeral Mass will be on Saturday, February 15, 2020 at 11am at Kays-Ponger & Uselton Funeral Home in Port Charlotte. Interment will take place at Restlawn Memorial Gardens following the service.
