Marion Ellen Gillis 94, of Port Charlotte passed away on April 9, 2023. She was born in Sussex, NJ, on February 14, 1929 to the late Edward and Anna ( Nee Klapperstuck) Link. Marion was married to the late James A. Gillis on August 7, 1954. She is survived by her children Ann (Albert) Letterio, Kathy (Agustin) Ortiz and James (Maripol) Gillis. Grandchildren Laura Papol, (Brandon Pyle), Jim (Shauna) Ortiz, Carlos (Erin) Ortiz and Jennifer Gillis. Great Grandchildren Alyssa, Amber, Autumn Papol, Faith, Caroline, Riley Ortiz. Sister Kathleen (Fred) Kattermann and Brother Franklin Link. Her brothers Edward, George and Charles Link have predeceased her. Marion was a Loving Mother, Sister, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. An avid reader who also enjoyed crocheting, knitting and needlepoint. A Christian Mass will be held at 10:00AM Monday April 24, at St Mary's Our Lady of Grace 4Th Street and 5Th Avenue South St Petersburg Florida. Burial will be at Clove Cemetery in Sussex, NJ at a later date.
