Marjorie Ruth Harvey

She was born in Chicago, Illinois on January 4th, 1921, the youngest of five daughters of Joseph and Rose Vogel.

She was married first to Mario John Simboli in 1942. He passed away in 1954. In 1957, she married Stanley Joseph Harvey Jr. who preceded her in death in 1981.

Marjorie was a telephone operator for Illinois Bell Telephone for many years, before moving, first to Texas, then to Florida. Later, she worked as a switchboard operator for several hotels and hospitals until her retirement at age 80.

Marjorie enjoyed being surrounded by her family and will be greatly missed by her loved ones. Her interests included sewing, crocheting, cooking for her family and volunteering at the Cultural Center of Charlotte County.

She is survived by her three children: Adrienne Burchett of Port Charlotte FL, Stanley (Susan) Harvey of Williston, FL and Patrick Harvey of Ft. Myers FL.

Her surviving grandchildren are Steven Baird (life partner Scott Schluterman), Shannon Burchett, Krystal Harvey and Olivia Harvey .

A Funeral Mass to celebrate Marjorie's life will be held on Monday, July 17th at 11 a.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Church in Port Charlotte. Following the service, her ashes will be interred in the Memorial Garden on the church grounds.
