The Angels Came for Mary Frances, May 27, 2011 at her home in Punta Gorda.
She was born in Newburgh, New York on April 4, 1928. Mary moved to Florida in 1958. She loved children and worked as a teacher's aide for many years. Mary loved to sing and for 9 years she sang with the, Sweet Adeline's Chorus. Her love for people gave her an opportunity to manage a diet center, helping men and women to lose weight. She also had a Sunday school class that she taught for twelve years without missing a Sunday.
Mary is survived by her husband, Richard ; a son Daniel (Mary Beth) Pierce, step-daughters, Carolyn and Alice Andrews, three grandchildren, Nathan (Lyndsay) Pierce, Ashley (Aaron) Pauley and Luke Pierce; two great grandchildren, Harvey Pauley and Norah Pierce; one sister Audrey Janke; niece Deborah, her nephews, Fred and Luke Janke; her brothers, James (Maritza) and Frank (Dina) Clark; 5 nieces, 4 nephews and 12 cousins.
Visitation Tuesday, June 7, from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. service time. Officiated by the Rev. Roy W. Tuff at Kays -Ponger & Uselton Funeral Home 635 E. Marion Avenue. Punta Gorda, Florida.
