Mary M. Wills

Mary M. Wills, 86, of Venice, FL passed away September 25, 2016. She was born August 28, 1930 in Philadelphia, PA and moved to Venice in 1998 from St Michael’s, MD. Prior to that she lived in Chalfont, PA.

She is survived by her children, Lori (Gregory) Walker of Pittsburgh, PA and Christopher (Andrea) Wills of Ellicott City, MD; grandchildren Caroline, Allison, Meredith, Andrew and Connor Walker and Tara Wills. She was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Thomas Wills on February 15, 2016.

Mary was a graduate of Hood College, Frederick, Maryland and the University of Pennsylvania.  She was a Registered Nurse, an Operating Room Nurse at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, and later worked in long term nursing care facilities. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish, Meadow Run Women’s Club and the Venice Power Squadron. She was a dedicated grandmother and supporter of her grandchildren. 

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00am, Monday, October 17, 2016 at the Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Venice with inurnment to follow at the Sarasota National Cemetery in Sarasota, FL.
