Mavis Alexander, 73 of Port Charlotte, passed away on February 23, 2008. She was born on April 1, 1934 in the Republic of Panama the daughter of Melvin and Verbina Clark Henry. Mavis was in the telemarketing at Citi Bank and then moved here in 1990 from Queens, NY where she was a Dietary Aid. She was a member of the 1st Baptist church here in Port Charlotte. She is survived by many children and friends. A visitation will be from 10-12 am on Saturday, March 1, 2008 at Kays-Ponger Funeral Home, Port Charlotte Chapel. A service will be at 12 with burial to follow at the Royal Palm Cemetery.
