What can I say about a man who treated me with nothing but love and respect. I still remember all our times together, from you showing me the different strings on the guitar to taking me and Ced some days fishing with you. I also remember the day I asked you to marry chris and you asked me was I gonna bring her back? you all have treated me better than my own family and for that I will be forever grateful!! My heart is so full of pain but I know that God doesn't make mistakes. I love you and i'm sorry I didn't get a chance to say it to you before you left us. I do everything I can to make sure our circle won't go unbroken!! Sleep with the angels.

There are many times in my life that if have given thanks to God for my dad. He was as genuine as any man could be . The man you met at Indian Mounds or in the course of everyday life was the same Dad that I knew all of my life. Dad would help anyone,anytime, anywhere.

He is the reason I am anything at all. I cannot begin to list all of the thing I learned from him. I am certain That I will never know but a mere fraction of all the things he knew.

We have shared so many times together on the boat fishing or on the stage pickin ' guitars .Where ever life has taken us, It has been an absolute blessing to be his Son and I Proudly Bear the name of Morris Campbell.

Here is a challenge to all who read this. We are blessed to have loved ones in this life . We are not assured of tomorrow. PLEASE take the time to show them how much you care TODAY!!!!

Morris Campbell was my first true bluegrass friend in Florida.  He encouraged me in my atempts to play banjo, and when many others laughed at my many awful attempts, Morris never stopped encouraging me. i will never forget his kindness to me in many other ways too.  He helped me play my first solo song at the old Royal Palm Marina.  My rendition was a disaster, but, Morris never gave up on me.  He was good to everyone, especially his family.  but, his love for music made him give so much to the community and to his friends.  He will be missed terribly.  I think the pavillion at Indian Mounds should be dedicated and named for him, "The Morris Campbell Pavillion.

Daddy we love you and you will be missed by many. Don't worry I will take care of mom and cedric I promise. Barbara send her love.The kids miss there Poppie but we have lots of memories Daddy. Kiss Sharley for me. Love you Christy



Momo I miss you so much already. Life for me seems so uncertain now after the 30 years we've shared. I know I couldnt ask for any more knowing your with our Lord and seeing and hearing and no more pain. Give your mom and dad and my mom and dad a kiss from me and all our friends who have gone before us. Now you can join with your musician friends and praise the Lord continuosly. Keep your promise to be waiting for me on the far side banks of Jordon. When our Father calls me home I will come running to you reaching out for your hand. Baby God has given me a peace that surpasses all understanding. Our family and friends have been wonderful. I will write tommorrow. I love you and miss you with all my heart and soul. Your wife

In the 3 or so years that I have known you, you have shown me that you are a wonderful man with a big generous loving heart. I am glad that I got to become a part of your family and that I got to know you when I did, and that you accepted me and the girls into your family.
I know now that you are with God, that he has taken away your pain and given you back your sight and your hearing so that you can play your beautiful music for him. 
You rest in peace and know that Mike and I and the girls are here for Mom and Ced when ever they need anything. We will help Christy to take care of them both.
You are loved and missed already so much!

you tought me almost all i know how to work on things how to fish and most of all how to be a man now i can only hope to be as good of a father to my children as you were to me it took alot for a person to step up and not only take care of one but three children that wernt your and raise them to be and for this i feel special because most dont get to pick there parents and as for me mine picked me 

 i love you dad because you were always the man you didnt have to be and you will NEVER be forgotten

 I remember those times in school when I came to visit your home and you sat and taught me different things on the guitar. Here is this kid you had never met before that shared the same passion for music as you and instantly wanted to teach me everything you know. That is the kind of person you were. In life and learning how to live right you have to throw away the bad things and embrace the good attributes from other people. I took a lot of attributes from you that I will never throw away. It's people like you that make me love what I do as a soldier. You will be sorely missed. Don't worry about your family, God is watching over them for you!!
