Craig K. Baird was born 11/27/1928 to Vincent and Lura Baird, Port Huron, Michigan. In June 1946 he enlisted US Army 1946. Graduated from Port Huron Junior College in 1951 and attended University of Detroit. He married Rebekah M. Smith in 1955. Together they had four children, Faith Pfalz, Kathleen Shepard, Kendall Baird and Julie Sapp. There are eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Survived by sisters, Betty Keilers of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Paula Bronson of Port Huron, Michigan. Preceded by sister, Barbara Allen, and brothers, Alan Baird, and Jack Baird. Craig worked for Holland Lumber until 1959 when he became a building contractor and real estate agent. He was elected Fort Gratiot Township Supervisor for two terms. Moved to Port Charlotte in 1976 and joined Raymond Lumber to draft truss layouts for 11 years before retiring in 1993. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church. He passed away 9/25/2015.
