He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Norma (Bielmeier); son, Thomas (Marylou) Marks and; daughters, Karen (Richard) Cavallo, Barbara DeMont, Kathleen Cooney and Mary Miller; 15 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his parents, sister Helen Mayer, son-in-law Raymond Cooney, grandson Jacob Miller and great granddaughter Norah Bartholdson.
Robert loved hunting and fishing with his son in his earlier years. He was an avid golfer in his retirement years. Robert honorably served his country in the US Navy where he received the following honors, American Theater Ribbon, Asiatic Pacific Ribbon 2 Stars, Philippine Liberation Ribbon 2 Stars and the Victor Ribbon. Robert was a proud member of the Disabled American Veterans and American Legion.
